Hi, Iām Yingzi
š» As a UX designer with a background in applied statistics, I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto and a 9-month UX certification from Springboard. Originally from Chengdu, China, I moved to Toronto at the age of 18, and the experience of living and studying in two different countries has enabled me to empathize with users from diverse backgrounds and design products that are universally user-friendly.
š¼ My prior experience in business analysis has instilled in me the value of data-driven decision-making and I strive to apply this perspective in all aspects of UX design. I am currently working as a freelance UX designer and have collaborated with cross-functional teams in various companies, including Kanban Zone, a b2b IT firm, where I contributed to the redesign of their website and mobile screens to enhance the overall user experience. I have also worked with Greatway, a logistics company, to improve their website efficiency and attract more customers, and Ledja, an IT company, to expedite the recruitment process on their job search platform by developing an evaluation system.
šø My prior experience in fintech as a business analyst involved analyzing and visualizing customer data to derive insights and inform market strategies in a collaborative team setting.
šŗ When I am not working, I enjoy travelling to new destinations and immersing myself in diverse cultures. I am also a burgeoning plant parent and cherish spending time with my feline companions.
